Description

Tuesdays at 10:00pm only on BBC2 #spon

Quacks is a new comedy which is about Victorian doctors which I'm really into, which is ironic because I was only half watching the first episode, and I'm going to describe the characters for our friends across the pond and people in the UK who haven't seen it yet because why the hell not?!

Fun Fact: The show is called 'Quacks' because that was a nickname for doctors back in Victorian times.

Robert

Robert is the main character of the show but he's a show-off because he performs surgeries in front of other people and likes the attention gets (especially from the ladies). Apparently he can remove a leg in 92 seconds. The surgeries he has done in the show, however, have not gone so well. In the first he chopped a man's balls off and killed him and in the second he set fire to a duke's shirt.

Caroline
Caroline is Robert's wife and wants to become a doctor herself. She doesn't like the sexual tension between her and Robert so she's had to call a certain alienist along to help her. She kinda likes him too ;). I always think she's called Catherine.

William
William is a psychiatrist who wants to let his patients express themselves rather than let them be laughed at by the public. One of his clients is Caroline who he kinda likes. He's my favourite character but not just because Mathew Baynton (actor) is in Horrible Histories... Okay it is just because of that.

Fun Fact: Psychiatrists were known as alienists back in Victorian times.

John
I wasn't paying much attention to John but what I do know about him is that he's a dentist and good friends with Robert... Also he introduced cocaine to the UK, which made William get high AF, and said that the Pope liked it.

So that was basically Quacks.
